Where does the country rank in the world ranking of hours of sleep?

According to data collected from various sources, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Sleep Foundation, Israel ranks last in the world rankings for hours of sleep per capita.

World of Statistics writes about this.

The average sleep rate among Israelis is 6.5 hours per night, which puts the country on par with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. By comparison, the leader in sleep quantity is the Netherlands, where residents sleep an average of 8.1 hours per day. Finland comes in second with 8 hours, followed by Australia and France with 7.9 hours per day.

European countries tend to show higher rates. For example, in the United Kingdom and New Zealand the average sleep duration is 7.8 hours and in Canada 7.7. At the same time, countries in Asia and the Middle East, including Israel, show lower results. Thus, in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Israel the average sleep duration is 6.5 hours, and in Iran and Pakistan it is about 6.4 hours.

The countries with the highest sleep deprivation were those located in areas of conflict and instability: Afghanistan, Yemen and Sudan, where people sleep less than 5.5 hours a day.

These data come from global studies conducted by organizations such as the OECD, WHO and private companies involved in global sleep research.
