Visits by Georgian residents to foreign countries have decreased.
Oku.Az According to Sputnik, the country’s statistical office “Sakstat” has published information in this regard.
It should be noted that in the third quarter, 758,900 people traveled from the country, 7.4% less compared to the same period last year. Of these trips, 402.1 thousand were tourist trips.
The majority of travelers (44.4%) are between 31 and 50 years old. The most common reason for travel (32%) was to visit friends/family.
Most Georgians visited Russia (237.4 thousand visits) and Türkiye (119 thousand).
In total, residents spent 675.9 million lari ($248.5 million) abroad, 14.1% more than last year. The average price of the trip increased by 22.5% and reached 1,120.8 lari ($412).
