President Ilham Aliyev Signed the Order on the granting of higher military ranks to servicemen of the Ministry of Defense.
Oku.Az informs that according to the Order, the following soldiers of the ministry “major general” high military rank given:
Colonel Alakbar Muhammad oglu Jahangirov,
Colonel Gunduz Alish Oglu Abdulov,
Colonel Azer Alovsat oglu Gasimov,
Colonel of Justice Elchin Nariman oglu Aliyev.
The commander of the special forces, commander of the special military unit, Alakbar Jahangirov, is a hero of the Patriotic War. He was awarded the medals for the liberation of Jabrayil and Shusha, as well as the Order of the Flag of Azerbaijan, by order of President Ilham Aliyev.
Gunduz Abdulov was born in 1976 in the city of Shusha. In 2000, he received a bachelor’s degree in “systems engineering” from the National Defense University of Turkey, in 2007, he studied management at the operational and strategic level at the US Army General Staff and Command Academy, and in 2016, received a master’s degree in strategic management from the National Defense University. He completed the State Defense Research and Management Academic Course. He was appointed rector of the National Defense University on January 12, 2024.
Azer Gasimov was also awarded the medals for the liberation of Jabrayil and Shusha, as well as the “Order of Victory” for demonstrating bravery and courage during military service, according to the relevant decrees of President Ilham Aliyev.
Along with the mentioned persons, Colonel of Justice Elchin Nariman oglu Aliyev was also awarded the high military rank of “Major General of Justice”.
