Who could join the Trump administration?

American media publish a list of possible candidates for key positions in the White House under Donald Trump. It is expected that this time it will focus on those who have demonstrated their loyalty and devotion to the new American president.

This is reported by the Axios portal.

One of the most discussed candidates was Elon Musk, director of SpaceX and Tesla. On Election Day, Trump described Musk as a “star” and an “incredible person,” highlighting his ability to manage expenses effectively.

At the same time, the newly elected president himself stated that Musk is not interested in traditional office work, but wants to focus exclusively on cost reduction. He added that a new position will be created for this purpose: “secretary of state for cost reduction.”

Another possible candidate for high office was Robert Kennedy Jr. During his campaign, he said Trump promised him to lead key health agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Agriculture.

Kennedy noted that reforming these structures is critical to improving the nation’s health. Senator Marco Rubio and former national security adviser Robert O’Brien are being considered potential candidates for secretary of state.

Also on the list are Senators Bill Hagerty, former ambassador to Japan, and Richard Grenell, who served as ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence.

Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State, and Congressman Michael Waltz, who previously worked at the Department of Defense, could be appointed to the Pentagon.

Waltz, a combat officer and former director of Metis Solutions, specialized in China issues, making him well suited to lead the defense system. Additionally, Mike Lee, a Utah senator who actively supported Trump throughout his campaign, is being considered for the attorney general position.

Former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman and other officials who helped craft the Deal of the Century and the Abraham Accords may return to Trump’s team to continue the work.

Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner could also play a role in the new administration. Although he previously rejected the possibility of returning to the White House if the president needs to reach a deal with Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, Kushner would likely be involved in the process.

Trump is considering nominating Elissa Stefanik, chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, to serve as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Stefanik became famous for her questions to the presidents of major universities, particularly about whether calling for the genocide of the Jews constitutes bullying under university statutes. The rectors responded that “it depends on the context.”

Trump is also considering replacing some key figures, including Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. He previously criticized Powell for, in his opinion, insufficient fight against inflation, as well as for the politicization of his decisions.

Previously, Cursor wrote that in his victory speech, Trump promised “not to start wars, but to stop them.” According to media reports, he could put pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu, asking him to end the current conflict, but the methods of this pressure have not yet been specified.
