Angelo Loraz, 34 years old, from the suburbs of Sydney, Tuongabby, allegedly burned the front door of the synagogue of the East -Melburn Hybergeigation on Friday evening, when about 20 people were inside to eat Shabbat.
The state police Victoria chanted Loraz with a series of violations, including a thorough act of life. His name was not mentioned, associated with two other attacks on the Jewish community, which occurred at about the same time.
“A man allegedly poured a flammable liquid on the front door of the building and burned it before escaping from the stage,” the police said. “The detective will continue to study the intentions and ideology of a person accused of determining whether the incident is really terrorism.”
Jews fled without injuries through the back of the synagogue before firefighters released fire.
Luraz appeared in the Melbourne court on the magistrate, and he was ordered to be detained before the hearing on July 22. He did not submit a guarantee.

Loraz called himself on the platform of the X social networks as “lonely Iranian citizens, drivers -cinema loaders, music lovers.”
The attack was the last of a series of incidents aimed at Jews in Melbourne and Sydney, most of which were considered associated with Israeli’s actions in the Middle East when Australian leaders promised to break the criminals.
The arrest was welcomed by Dvir Abramovich, the head of the anti -collapse of the commission, who said that the burning attack “tore the hearts of the Jewish community and surprised the wider community with the roots.”
“The arrest gives a small sense of comfort for people who are covered by fear, anger and unbelief, and at a very depressed time will give a little sense of safety,” he said in a statement.
