Damascus – The Syrian artist’s union has officially canceled the membership of the famous actresses and directors in Sola Fawakirji, on the basis that his sustainable support for the president continued on Bashar al -Assad and his refusal to criticize the crimes committed by his regime explicitly.

The decision was issued based on Article 58 of Law No. 40, Klausul 2, Paragraph (B), with a union stating that Fawakherji “deviated from the purpose of the union” and shows “neglect of the suffering of the Syrian people.”

The union’s move, led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mazen Al Nattour, followed a series of media shows, as Fawakherji repeated his long support for Assad.
