More than a third of French voters are willing to vote for Marie Le Pen, leader of the National Union parliamentary faction, in the upcoming presidential election in 2027.
Oku.Az reports that the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP) has published information on this subject.
According to sociologists, “around 35% of voters are willing to vote for Le Pen in the first round.” She beat out two other possible candidates for the top post: former prime ministers Eduard Philippe and Gabriel Attal. In the first round, they are expected to get 27% and 24% of the votes respectively.
The survey was conducted from September 6 to 9 with the participation of more than 1,100 respondents over the age of 18.
