Amal Clooney (47) was not on the premiere of the debut of George Clooney (63) Broadway. She stayed at home to take care of the ordinary twins Ella and Alexander (7). On Thursday evening, April 3, George celebrated his debut in the show “Good Night and Good Luck”. While many stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Crawford and Uma Thurman were in the audience, Amal was missing.

George Clooney told reporters why Amal was not present: “She’s with the children.” He emphasized that the schedule of a play enables him to see his children during the day. In an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” he said: “Actually, a piece is a good schedule because you work at night. You can see the children during the day, so it’s fine.”
George feels honored to play the role of journalist Edward R. Murrow in the Shubert Theater. He said: “I feel honored to return to Broadway, the art form and the location for which every actor strives for all those years and especially to the stage.”
He plays a role that David Stratairn previously played in the 2005 film. At that time George Murrow’s employee Fred W. Friendly played.
