With the housing problem, every house counts. And that is why information given a few days ago by the Bank of Spain attracts attention. Over the last 20 years, 450,000 homes have been built in Spain which can no longer be placed on the market.
The reason is that the organization marks them as unsaleable for different reasons. Some are because they were left half-built due to financial or licensing issues. They are called the famous “skeletons”.
And others, because they were not sold during the bubble era, remained unoccupied for years and were even vandalized. There are also cases, according to the Bank of Spain, in which their location makes them unusable.
“It is really complicated to launch these promotions. because of the costs involved. If there is really no plan for some urbanizations left in nothingness, whoever is going to invest must be beneficial and whoever is going to buy must have a life project”, says Diego Ríos, general director of ‘Redpiso ” Guadalajara , to find out if they have a second chance.
A second chance that they have houses in Miño, La Coruña. There is an urbanization there with houses from the bubble era which have again received offers to purchase.
