October 1 – On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, the Social Service Agency visited folk artist Svetlana Hakimova, who currently lives alone.
Svetlana Hakimova, who devoted herself to art from a young age, worked for many years at the Sumgayit State Musical Drama Theater named after Huseyn Arablinski.
The People’s Artist, 84, who never married, said he sacrificed himself for art:
“I have been attached to art for a long time, since my youth. A girl also has a time, a time when she is loved. Someone loved me too. That person said that we should write two applications, one to get married and the other to get married. another for quitting work. But I won’t quit my job,” I said. It happened, I didn’t quit my job. I didn’t get married, I was attached to art. I sacrificed myself for art. The roles I played, the characters I created are my children because with love I gave them life.”
It should be noted that Svetlana Hakimova has been engaged in social service as a single person since 2013.
