Winemaker Pablo Ossorio receives the Recognition of the Great Mediterranean Winegrowers for his professional career

The Valencian winemaker, Pablo Ossorioresponsible for the Hispano Suisse Winery, received this Saturday the Recognition of the Great Mediterranean Winegrowers from the director of the Alicante Gastronomic Fair, Gema Amor, after the tasting carried out in the Prestige Tasting Room, installed in the exhibition . The producer responsible for the Hispano Suisse winery stressed that “we must not forget that the winery comes first, because the value and prestige are given by the brand” and added that Spain must believe that “we are the first vineyard in the world and we are the benchmark for quality. The problem is that we lack glamor, which doesn’t happen in other countries.

Regarding his career, he said that “we have everything to do, despite a life dedicated to wine, we know that there is everything to improve, there is everything to discover and we have many big projects where there will be a Pablo Ossorio from before and after, but about whom I cannot reveal anything yet.

Ossorio, originally from Bierzo (León), comes from a family of several generations of winegrowers and winemakers. This renowned figure began his studies at the School of Oenology in Requena (Valencia) and forged a career that took him to work in Italy and Argentina, first, and then to make wines in the main regions from Spain.

Today, installed at Requena (Valencia), is a partner of the most innovative project in the Valencian Community with Bodegas Hispano Switzerlands, where, together with his partner Rafa Navarro, they revolutionized the DO Cava and the Valencian Wines of Requena, earning him the title Best national winemaker of the year 2024 by FECOES.

Afternoon of carnivorous cuisine and Moroccan pastries
