A 60-year-old woman died this Sunday after being sexually assaulted during the celebration of bullfighting celebrations from the Valencian town of Enguera, as confirmed by Civil Guard sources.
The events occurred around 5:30 p.m., when a woman was injured by a bull’s horn in the armpit. Subsequently, she died while being transferred by ambulance to the Lluís Alcanyís Hospital in Xàtivaindicated the same sources.
Apparently, according to the armed institute and eyewitnesses, the woman crossed an area of the premises where the celebration was taking place due to a “confusion“.
Around a bend, the bull gored the woman, who remained unconscious and was evacuated from the scene by several participants in the bullfighting celebration, witnesses said.
After these events, the Municipal Council of Enguérahas suspended the orchestra performance scheduled for this evening, as well as the Quintos events, the bullfighting events of Sunday and next Monday, the parade and the mascletà this Monday.
Likewise, the local parish has postponed the processions until Saturday October 5 at 8:00 p.m. The mass in honor of the Virgin of Fátima will be celebrated the same Saturday, at 12:00 p.m.
The San Miguel Castle will be demolished this Sunday evening in memory of the deceased neighbor, the town hall reported on its social networks.
For its part, the Ministry of Justice and the Interior informed Europa Press that, “in consideration” and as “proof of respect“Due to the death of the woman, the act of constituting the Working Commission for the preparation of the new Bous al Carrer decree, scheduled for this Monday, has been postponed.
The Department presented its condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased as well as to all residents of the commune of Enguera.
