A a woman died this Friday, after the car he was travelling in collided with a taxi on the main highway of Menorca, in the section between Ferreries and Ciutadella.
As reported by SAMU 061, the traffic accident occurred shortly after 9:30 in the morning, at kilometre 30 of this busy road that connects Maó to Ciutadella.
The head-on collision between the two cars resulted in the death of the occupant of one of the vehicles, while the taxi driver and a customer, as well as the deceased’s companion, were injured. transferred to Mateu Orfila Hospital in serious condition.
Local firefighters and police officers attended the scene. SAMU 061, for its part, transferred three advanced resuscitation units, a basic resuscitation unit and a rapid intervention vehicle.
The accident caused significant delays in both directions of the main highway. It should be noted that this is the Sixth death on the roads of Menorca this year.
