THE Seville Public Prosecutor’s Office request a penalty eight years in prison for one women who took advantage of his husband I slept for tie him to a chair and stab him in the chest and collarbone. The woman is accused of an alleged crime of attempted homicide and the trial will take place on September 12 before the First Section of the Court of Seville.
In its indictment, the Public Prosecutor’s Office states that the events occurred on August 17, 2020, around 10 p.m., in the house shared by the aggressor and the victim, on Rey Juan Carlos I Street, in Villanueva del Ariscala town in Seville in the region of El Aljarafe.
According to the prosecution, the accused, then aged 72, went to her husband’s house, aged 60, while he was “sleeping in an armchair” and “proceeded to tie his right hand and foot to the leg” of the chair. Then, stabbed him in the chest with a knifein the left hemithorax, causing a 12-centimeter wound that reached his lung.
The woman then stabbed her husband again in the collarbone, near the neckAll the injuries were life-threatening because “they were potentially fatal, having affected vital organs and structures.”
After the events, the accused called for help and confessed who had stabbed her husband. Medical professionals transferred the man in serious condition at the Virgen del Rocío Hospital in Seville, where he was able to save his life.
The prosecution states that at the time of the events, the accused was aware of what she was doing, even if “with a distorted assessment of realitywith severely impaired will and significant limitation of inhibitory brakes.
The prosecution is therefore requesting an eight-year prison sentence for the crime of attempted murder with the mixed aggravating circumstance of kinship, the mitigating circumstance of confession and the mitigating circumstance of anger, as well as a ban on approaching or communicating with the victim for ten years.
