Woman from Laguna de Duero dies in road accident in Cantabria

A 41-year-old woman from Laguna de Duero (Valladolid) died this Thursday after being the victim of a serious traffic accident on a road in Cantabria, as confirmed to this newspaper by sources from the Government Delegation of Castile and León.

The incident occurred on September 12, shortly before 3 p.m., when the victim, who was traveling alone, lost control of the van she was driving and hit the right side protection barriers.

For its part, 112 Cantabria clarified that the accident occurred at kilometer 175 of the A-67 motorway, passing through Cartes and heading towards Santander; in addition, the accident generated delays on the aforementioned motorway.

As soon as we received the notification, the emergency services immediately went to the scene. However, upon arrival, they could only certify the death of the woman from Valladolid who was driving the damaged van.

Furthermore, everything seems to indicate that a second vehicle was involved in this accident, having been unable to avoid hitting the van. However, its driver was unharmed.
