On the seventh day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku, an event called “Women driving change: champions of a future” was held in the Green Zone sustainable”.
Oku.Az reports that the event was moderated by COP29 chief negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev.
The event brought together women climate leaders, made up of prominent scientists, specialists and experts in relevant fields, creating a turning point in the fight against climate change.
These women leaders shared their inspiring work and innovative solutions, as well as their insights on how gender equality relates to climate resilience.
The event discussed the unique challenges and opportunities women face in the climate field and also highlighted the vital role they play in building a sustainable future.
