Work continues on the “Shusha” prison, which will function as a museum

“When I took over at Shusha prison in 1988, the Armenians objected and Moscow insisted that I be replaced by another person of Armenian descent.”

These words were spoken by Aydin Abbasov, former director of the “Shusha” prison, in an interview for “ITV Khabar”.

He said other Armenian leaders, including Serzh Sargsyan, sought ways to release prisoners under various pretexts:

“They set the goal of training prisoners of the penitentiary institution as provocateurs against Azerbaijanis. After the Armenian occupation, the “Shusha” prison, which remained in captivity for a long time, became a place of torture.”

It should be noted that the prison, which was inaugurated today, will continue to function as a museum.

Currently work is being done in this direction.
