Azerbaijan’s freestyle wrestlers finished the world championship in non-Olympic weight categories held in Tirana, capital of Albania, without medals.
Oku.Az reports that Nureddin Novruzov (61 kg) lost in the third place match, and Orkhan Abasov (79 kg) and Abubakr Abakarov (92 kg) lost in the consolation matches and lost the chance to win a medal.
It should be noted that the previous world champions were Greco-Roman wrestlers Eldeniz Azizli (55 kg), Nihat Mammadli (63 kg) and Ulvu Ganizadeh (72 kg). The team ranked first in team scoring. The women finished the tournament without a prize. The World Championship will conclude today.
