Ukrainian multiple kickboxing champion Roman Golovatyuk, who served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed in the zone of special operations, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
Golovatyuk, 28, was killed on August 31 in the direction of Pokrovsk, in the Selidovo region of the DPR. This information was confirmed by the Sports Committee of Ukraine.
Golovatyuk was an Honored Master of Sports, a World Games finalist, a world champion, multiple winners of the World and European Cups, and multiple champions of Ukraine, the BBC reports. He was from the Khmelnitsky region and voluntarily went to fight in the first days after the start of the Northern Military District.
