The “Report” reports that Yalchin Rafiyev, COP29 chief negotiator, briefed journalists about this.
“We will continue to work with the parties to make final adjustments to the issues still outstanding. We will try to ensure that the outcome of this conference is as ambitious as possible, encouraging all parties to achieve the goal,” he said.
Y. Rafiyev noted that, according to the presidency, the annual financing of 250 billion dollars is not adequate for a fair and ambitious goal, but mutual activity with the parties will continue.
“We continue consultations on this issue and hope that progress will be made. The parties will still review the amount and we will be able to comment after a final agreement is reached,” he stressed.
