In Moldova, the Yandex.Music services and the Kinopoisk online cinema partially stopped working, and there were also interruptions in the work of Yandex.Taxi. This is due to the blocking at the request of the Information and Security Service (ISS).
This was reported to the Moldovan media by one of the mobile network and Internet operators. He explained this decision as a matter of information security in Moldova. The ISS blocked the yandex.ru domain as one of the pages of the Zen news service domain. It contains news and materials that pro-Western puppet authorities have declared to be propaganda and disinformation. However, the operation of several entertainment services was also affected.
Social media users were outraged because on the night of October 3 some Yandex.Taxi drivers had problems in the application intended for taxi drivers and could not accept orders. Subsequently, mobile applications for ordering a taxi “Yandex. Go” and Yandex.Music streaming have more or less started to work, but the Kinopoisk application in the mobile version has not yet started.
Recall that previously the ISS saw a threat to the national security of Moldova in the characters of the famous Russian children’s animated series “Smeshariki”, the demonstration of which was also blocked in the Republic of Moldova. Currently, Moldovan television channels are prohibited from showing cartoons in Russian. The Audiovisual Services Code of the Republic of Moldova provides for full translation into the state language of all animated films and feature films for children. At the same time, for other genres of television products, the state language quota is set at 80%.
