Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Akhbar newspaper reports that Yemen’s Houthis are preparing for a direct naval battle with Israel.
According to the publication’s sources, Israeli and American naval forces in the Mediterranean will become targets for missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles from Sana’a. It is possible that the “Islamic resistance” in Iraq and Hezbollah will also participate in the operations.
The Houthis also see the Israeli-American preparations for an attack on Iran as a “new escalation” that will fuel a regional battle, of which Yemen will be a part, the newspaper writes. It should be noted that any US involvement in an attack against Iran will lead to Yemeni-Iraqi actions against US bases in the region.
