Today, the leader of the IU went further and asked to remake the coalition with a primary format, without specifying the formula.
“We need a method of leadership, with primaries, and if we come fourth, then we will come fourth,” defended Maíllo, who in recent weeks has established himself as the most critical voice within the coalition . “Yolanda Díaz shows that she is a magnificent Minister of Labor… but in other dimensions, it is necessary to improve“, he summarized.
This is what Maíllo said this Monday during a breakfast at the Forum Nueva Economía, for the second time that he has moved away from the official Sumar line. Precisely, in recent days, the coordinator of the IU has engaged in a fierce struggle with Díaz to reorganize the parliamentary group in Congress, demanding more weight from him and from the deputy spokesperson of the general secretary of the PCE, Enrique Santiago.
