The ‘La Higuera’ reading club and La Madriguera de Papel will celebrate Bookstore Day this Friday, November 15 with the author Yolanda Morató (Huelva, 1976) and her work ‘Libres y Libreras. Women of the book in London” (Editorial El Paseo).
In this work, this Spanish philologist, translator, poet and bibliophile, professor at the Department of English Philology (English language) of the University of Seville, recounts the history of London booksellers as pioneers of the cultural industry in the world of books and bookselling.
The meeting with the author, chosen by the “La Higuera” reading club, is organized by the Toledo bookstore La Madriguera de Papel to commemorate Bookstore Day, an event that seeks to highlight the importance of these spaces in the promotion of culture. The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. at its headquarters, located on Avenida del Madroño 6, in the Valparaíso urbanization.
