Azerbaijan is ready to expand cooperation with the emirate of the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan (IEA, the name of the country with the Taliban). This was announced at a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister IEA abdula Gany Baradar with Prime Minister Azerbaijan Ali Asadov at the SEC 17 in Baku, according to Ariana News reports.
Paradar expressed his gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for the official call and the warm welcome presented by the Afghan delegation. According to the official statement, Paradar called for an increase in diplomatic relations and urged Azerbaijan to accept the officially appointed IEA ambassador (Russia has almost done – almost – almost. Asadov also expressed his support for the strengthening of Afghan coal to Türkiye through the lands of Azerbaijan.
In addition, an accelerated case of Afghan businessmen visas was discussed, a grant for Afghan students and assistance in resolving legal affairs for Afghan prisoners in Azerbaijan.
Both sides described the meeting as a starting point for launching practical measures aimed at strengthening bilateral relations.
