The young people of the PP of Madrid, the “young ayusers”, as they call themselves, returned this weekend to their Academy to recover their training in debates, more and more conflictual in all areas, and to focus on two issues that particularly concern them: the immigration crisis and the problem of addictions. This Saturday, they will have a special “coach”: Jose Maria Aznarprobably the favorite former government president of all “ayusers”, including his boss.
Alongside the former President of the Government, the general secretary of the party in this community, Alfonso Serrano, and the national president of New Generations, Bea Fanjul, will participate in the inauguration of the second youth academy of the PP in Madrid.
More than 200 young people from the PP of Madrid will be trained during the weekend in San Lorenzo de El Escorial in oratory workshops, use of words, speech writing and will listen to experts on these two issues that they consider as priorities: immigration and addictions in all its aspects.
In this “II Youth Academy of Madrid”, as these days already organized last year were called, the young people of the New Generations will have Enriqueta Ochoa (psychiatrist and spokesperson for Proyecto Hombre) and José Antonio Luengo (psychologist and dean of the College of Psychologists of Madrid) to address the problem of addictions among young people.
In addition, Alejandro Macarrón (Demographic Renaissance Foundation), Juan Carlos Jiménez (professor of history of thought and social movements CEU San Pablo), Jesús de Prado Gallo (A police association for the 21st century) and Marcos Ondarra (journalist of L’Objectif) will participate in the round table on immigration.
On Sunday, the school will close with the recording of a live podcast with an audience. It will feature Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who will be interviewed by the president of Nuevas Generaciones de Madrid, Ignacio Dancausa. In the Madrid PP they emphasize that it is an “innovative format, aimed at attracting young people”.
The Academy will have the presence of prominent political leaders who will inaugurate and close the academy, with one of the highlights, the presence of José María Aznar, former President of the Government.
Also participating will be the Mayor of Alcalá de Henares, Judit Piquet, and the Minister of Family, Youth and Social Services of the Community of Madrid, Ana Dávila, who will offer their vision on the immigration challenge, in this case from a municipal council. and autonomous, respectively.
Last Friday, the Academy already had the presence of Iñaki Ortega, consultant, university professor and former president of Nouvelles Générations du Pays Basque, who will participate in the workshop “Facing a crisis, challenges and opportunities”.
One of the highlights of this school will arrive this Saturday at seven in the afternoon, with the debate tournament between the young people of the Ayuso PP. The jury will be composed of Paula de las Heras, general secretary of Nuevas Generaciones Madrid, Rubén Piñero, assistant secretary for communications of Nuevas Generaciones Madrid, and Belén Montes, training secretary of the same youth organization.
