In 2017, iOS integrated the Files folder for easy access to everything we save in Apple’s cloud, iCloud. I want to show you how to see the downloads you make from your iPhone or iPad, because you may not know in which folder they are stored.
How to see downloads on your iPhone
First of all, you need to know where the File folder. It’s usually on the Home screen, but you may have moved it. In case you are unable to locate it, from the home screen itself you can click on the symbol that I marked, that of Search, and write the word Files. You will automatically find one of the most interesting apps on your iPhone that you may not be taking advantage of.
When you access, if you are not on the main screen, Click on the icon that appears in the lower right corner, Explore. You will see how you can now see the Downloads folder. This is where all the files you download from the Internet are stored.
When you click Downloads you will automatically see the files which were stored.
This is how pYou can navigate to the Downloads folder on your iPhone. But it is interesting to know something else. If you click on one of your files, you will be able to see it, whether it is a document, photo or video file.
But if you long press on the file, a pop-up window opens which gives you the option of many possibilities.
At the top we will see that you can copy it, move it to another Files folder or Share it with one of your contacts. Additionally, if you verify that this document or file is no longer of any use to you, you can completely click and delete it to reclaim space.
The Files folder, New to iOS 11 in Fall 2017, It’s one of those little hidden gems that your device has that, perhaps, will be a little forgotten. In particular, I benefit a lot from this application, because my entire photo gallery is in it and I can access any photo or video on my iPhone without having to store it.
Now that you know how to view downloads on your iPhone, Take the opportunity to clean this folder, because you have probably forgotten files that are no longer of much use to you. This way you can free up your cloud storage a little. By the way, remember this recent content with which you can recover a large part of the iCloud space that you have occupied unnecessarily.
