Moscow considers the US media’s accusations about Russia’s alleged military-biological program to be part of an anti-Russian campaign. This was stated in a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.
“The lies of the American media regarding Russia’s activities in the biological field; we consider them part of a propaganda campaign led by the United States to discredit Russia and our initiatives in the field of biological security,” —said the diplomat quoted by TASS.
As Zakharova noted, “Washington, based on speculation, is again replicating unfounded accusations against Moscow about a certain military-biological program and thereby allegedly violating the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention.”
