The Zamora City Council, within the Local Government Council, has given the green light to the project of expropriation of a house located at 20, Espíritu Santo street, adjacent to the church of the same name and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest , for an amount of 58,398.20 euros.

The house, as the Consistory explains in a press release, is located in the protection zone of the church. With the expropriation, the objective is to incorporate the entire surface of the land, once the property is demolished, into the general road network at the confluence of Calle Espíritu Santo and Calleja del Deán.

It is thus planned to release the head of the Church of the Holy Spirit on the west facade to which the house to be expropriated is attached.

On this land there is a house consisting of a ground floor with a basement and a corral or patio, occupying part of the roof of the church of 48.40 square meters and the rest 84 square meters, with a total constructed area of ​​140 square meters. meters intended for residential use and complementary buildings.

The house is more than 100 years old, according to cadastral data. The expropriation aims to declare public utility and obtain the land in order to incorporate it into the public road network of the city of Zamora.

Likewise, during the Local Government Council, a direct grant to the Red Cross worth 25,000 euros was also approved to carry out actions in the zero point of DANA in the interior areas of the Mediterranean coast, Cuenca , southwest Andalusia, Albacete and Valencia.

In addition, the agreement for the award of the contract for the execution of the road maintenance service in different areas of the city of Zamora, endowed with 250,000 euros and intended for the execution of road works, was also approved. maintenance and replacement of pavements on the city’s public roads.

Finally, the green light was given for the restitution of the definitive guarantee deposited to respond to the execution of the contract for the supply of 2 hybrid patrol cars and 3 motorcycles for the Municipal Police of Zamora and 1 all-terrain vehicle for the Group .
