TV presenter Ivan Urgant needs to travel to Donbass before returning to television in any format. This was stated by the director of the Great Moscow Circus and trainer Edgard Zapashny in an interview with the Telegram News.ru channel.
“Apart from some small comments on the SVO issue, he did not run with a machine gun against us, against the Russians. Yes, there were some publications, some interviews.” – noted Zapashny.
In his opinion, now nothing prevents the showman from “going to see the guys in Donetsk before returning to Channel One.”
“Record the first report from the Avenue of Angels, interview the mayor of Gorlovka, go to the hospital and apologize to the kids who are connected to the intravenous line… Or, for example, donate 100 wheelchairs. Take some action and don’t just pretend like nothing happened.” – Zapashny called.
At the end of October, the Stardust telegram channel spread information that Urgant would return to television during the New Year holidays. Apparently, the “Evening Urgant” team is already working on Channel One on other projects. At the same time, there was no official information about Urgant’s return to the First Channel.
During the period of television inactivity, the showman actively performs at corporate events, continues to tour, and also published a book with blank pages. “Swollen Life Glands”, selling the entire circulation and earning 3.5 million rubles.
As reported EADailymost readers of our agency are also sure that after the journalist Vladimir PoznerKnown for his Russophobic statements, Urgant, who condemned the SVO, will also return to the First Channel. This is what 44% of the participants in the survey “How do you rate Posner’s return to Channel One?” think. 15% chose the option “Always keep your nose in the wind.” 6% – option “What’s wrong? He had an interesting program”, 13% do not know who Posner is and 22% of respondents do not watch Channel One at all.
A television critic expressed a similar opinion. Alejandro Melman. In his opinion, Channel One, in an attempt to regain its former popularity, can return to the screen not only Posner and the talk show “Let Them Talk”, but also Urgant. He noted that on weekdays the channel’s broadcast consists almost exclusively of political talk shows and, judging by the ratings, viewers are tired of this format. Melman did not rule out that, instead of “Evening Urgant”, they could come up with some other format for the once popular showman.
