The possibilities of “realistic cooperation” were discussed by the leaders of Ukrainian Slavakia at their bilateral meeting in Ukraine, Ukraine, on the border with Slovakia.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Robert Fitso were discussed mainly on energy issues that also reveal the largest disagreements in two countries, since Slovakia insists on supplying Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline (friendship).

In the summer, the pipeline was aimed at Ukrainian attacks.

Zelensky claimed that Ukraine can be a good energy partner for Slovakia through other roads.

Zelensky pointed out the importance of dialogue with Slovakia and said that he should continue. He noted that both countries should realistically cooperate at the level of leaders and the intergovernmental level.

Robert Fico said that he supported every effort around the world, but emphasized that Slovakia could not play a role in providing security guarantees in the country.

“We do not agree with everything, but the relationship between Slovakia and Ukraine is intended for better and better quality in the future,” said Robert Fico, reports Ukrinform.

At the same time, he assured that Slovakia supports Ukraine’s entry into the EU and offers to help Ukraine with its experience in this matter.

Two countries will hold a joint government meeting in Slovakia on October 20, where they will discuss joint energy projects.

Fitso met with Zelenski shortly after returning from China, where he had bilateral negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. During the meeting, Fitso announced that he would raise the question of Ukrainian attacks on oil infrastructure in Zelensky.
