President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump met at Trump Tower in New York. The meeting lasted approximately one hour.

The Ukrainian leader noted that the meeting is being held on the eve of the presidential elections in the United States. According to him, after November it is important to discuss joint measures between kyiv and Washington.
On September 26, Zelensky met with US Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s candidate for head of state.
In turn, Trump reiterated his claim that if he wins the election, he will quickly resolve the issue related to the war in Ukraine.
It should be noted that this is the first personal meeting between Zelensky and Trump in the last five years.
The Ukrainian president has been in the United States since September 22. He spoke at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly and also presented the “plan for victory” in the war with Russia to US President Joe Biden.
