The main question is whether Ukraine, if its allies allow Western weapons to strike deep into Russia, will be able to attack the Kremlin.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky spoke about this in Italy at the 50th Ambrosetti International Forum.
“When we talk about Italy or someone else being afraid that we will attack the Kremlin, I regret that we cannot do so. Because the long-range weapons that you or your partners have have a range of about 200 kilometers. This is less than the distances that Tajani (Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani – ed.) spoke about,” the President of Ukraine stressed.
He also noted that the issue of missile range is very serious, as Russia uses more than 4,000 aerial bombs in eastern Ukraine every month and there is no key to solving this problem.
At the same time, the tactical bombers with which the Russians drop such bombs are stationed at airfields 100, 150 or 300 kilometres from the border.
“We want to use long-range weapons against them. There are no other ideas. We are not targeting civilians,” Zelensky said.
