Only the military can speak about the need for certain operations, not politics. This was stated by the advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
According to him, no one is suggesting that the Ukrainian leadership attacks Belarus and some statements by local politicians do not make sense.
“To be honest, I don’t quite understand how these or other deputies justify their personal positions. The main thing should be a political comment, not a military one. Only the military can speak about the need for certain operations. Our country has military priorities. This is a gigantic front, the Kursk operation in enemy territory. In my opinion, intensifying war and making some provocative statements is an imprudent tactic. I don’t see the sense of analyzing something that has no functional value. ” – said.
Podolyak believes that “any person can make certain statements, but deputies do not determine Ukraine’s military tactics and strategies; this is the prerogative of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the General Staff.”
“We have a lot of military work to do. I repeat, this is… more than 1,300 kilometers of front line, the expansion of the Kursk operation and attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation. At the same time, we also have a shortage of resources. Consequently, military doctrine is determined within this framework.” – he emphasized.
Recall that Belarus does not officially participate in the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, but fully supports Moscow’s actions. In October, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party Oleg Dunda proposed transferring military operations to Belarusian territory. In his opinion, “if we enter with relatively small units, the Belarusian army will lay down its arms.”
