Police officers are cracking down on foreigners who do not have documents giving them the right to live in the country at several addresses in Baku.
Oku.Az reports that the Ministry of the Interior (MIA) has published information on this matter.
It was reported that in August another 94 foreign nationals were detained by officials of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration of the Main Department for Passport Registration and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for violating the above-mentioned laws. Investigations revealed that several of the detainees were engaged in illegal work activities in addition to living without registration. It was discovered that these foreigners were promised that they would be provided with illegal passage to European countries using our country as a transit in exchange for money, and were deceived by unknown persons living in their countries.
According to the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offences on the detected cases, protocols were drawn up and the detained foreigners were handed over accordingly.
94 foreigners were arrested without documents that would give them the right to live in the country
