Andenes to become Bucaramanga’s motorcycle showroom: “What creativity”

The administration led by Jaime Andrés Beltrán has given Bucaramanga something to talk about.

On this occasion, true to his style, the official revealed what would be one of the new modalities used by motorcyclists.

It is thanks to his X account that Bueno assured that the platforms of the capital Santander are becoming a showroom of motorcycles. The official stressed that such a situation occurs when pedestrians “juggle” in order to move.

However, in his message, the director of Transit gave a message of “tranquility” for those who carry out this type of practices, also emphasizing that the platforms do not represent a “luxury parking.”

“How creative! Turn the platform into a motorcycle showroom, while pedestrians juggle to get through. But don’t worry, our Transit agents are here to remind us that the platform is not a luxury parking lot.” he explained.

Bueno said the situation forced authorities to take action: “Today we cleaned up what should never have been invaded. Maybe one day we will respect each other’s space and let the platform return to what it is: a safe path for those who walk.“.

And it is not surprising; The official has published two images showing how some motorcyclists have left their vehicles parked on the quay of the capital Santander. There are even two images: one in which you can see the parked motorcycles and another in which you can see the same area without vehicles. This, demonstrating that the Traffic officers have removed the motorcycles.

It is important to note that Jaime Andrés Beltrán announced in May of this year the restriction of the circulation of motorcycles in the capital Santander, a decision that, the leader explained, aims to lead “the fight against delinquency.”

Thanks to their social networks, Beltrán explained that since May 7 of this year, the measure began to come into force, and it extends from midnight to 4 a.m., every day..

“In Bucaramanga, the circulation of motorcycles will be prohibited from midnight to 4 a.m., every day of the week. The measure begins this Tuesday, May 7 at midnight. The fight against crime requires decisions, and we do not hesitate to take them,” he commented.

The restriction has some exceptions, such as health workers, private security and essential messages such as pharmacies and medicine deliveries.

Those who adhere to the exceptions must present their appropriate work certificate to Bucaramanga Transit agents.

Among the group of workers who will be able to walk the streets of Bucaramanga at the aforementioned times are:

• Military forces and national police.
• Public transit and transportation authorities in service.
• Judiciary, Attorney General’s Office and CTI.
• INPEC.
• Rescue agencies, firefighters, Red Cross and civil defense.
• Emergency hospital services.
• Press and other duly identified media.
• Private security service and duly identified escorts.
• Employees, owners, business messengers and authorized applications.
