Khayyam Salahov, accused of committing a murder nine years ago in Agjabadi and sentenced to 19 years in prison, appealed again to the court.
APA reports that the convicted man appealed to the appeals court and asked to change the sentence against him.
Today the decision was announced at the Baku Court of Appeal, presided over by Judge Ramin Garagurbanli, the appeal was rejected and the verdict was confirmed.
It should be noted that the incident took place in October 2015 in Agjabadi district.
According to the indictment, Khayyam Salahov, born in 1979, and Namig Mammadov, born in 1987, strangled to death Valeh Ismayilov, born in 1956, who was engaged in buying and selling foreign currency, in the city of Agjabadi, where he survived , took a large amount of money and threw his body into the canal they threw. The murder was solved much later. The body of V. Ismayilov was found in the part of the Karabakh Canal passing through the territory of the Imishli region.
Salahov Khayyam Abdulla oglu and Mammadov Namig Gurban oglu, suspected of having committed the murder, were arrested in February 2016. Khayyam Salahov and Namig Mammadov were each sentenced to 19 years in prison by the Lankaran Serious Crimes Court. Other courts confirmed the verdict.
