The municipal council of Frameita Following its corresponding call for tenders, it awarded the works for the construction of a paddle tennis court for an amount of 43,557.58 euros. This prize marks an important step in the local sports developmentdespite the obstacles that appeared along the way.
The government team of the City Council had requested a modification to the General Budgets of Navarre for a total amount of 135,000 euros, an amount sufficient to cover the cost of an indoor paddle tennis court. However, the proposal did not receive support from the Cadreita PSN groupwho presented an amendment of only 30,000 euros, barely 40% of the estimated cost for the project.
THE Mayor of Cadreita, Berta Pejenauteexpressed his perplexity at the lack of support from the PSN, especially since in other neighboring cities, colleagues from his party have obtained full amendments for similar projects. “Is disappointing to see how we were denied the necessary support for this project that is so important for our neighborhood, especially when in other places complete amendments have been made without any problem,” said Pejenaute.
Despite these challenges, the Cadreita Town Hall decided to go ahead with the work in two phases to ensure your economic viability. “Our commitment is clear: we want Promoting sport in Cadreita and provide our neighbors with quality facilities. It Cadreita Paddle Club, recently created, will benefit greatly from this new trackand we are determined that this project move forward successfully” said the mayor.
