German artist Carolin Ruggaber wins Flora’s Patio Talento 2024 call

Carolin Ruggaber is the winning artist of the call for Court of Talents 2024an initiative that offers the possibility to participate in Flora at emerging artists or groups who have never created a large-scale plant installation. The German designer thus becomes the fifth and last confirmed artist for the seventh edition of the festival, which will be held from October 14 to 25 in Cordoba.

According to the organization, after long deliberations – the result of the high quality of the proposals received – “the Patio Talento jury selected Carolin Ruggaber’s project for its uniqueness, beauty and contemporaneity“.

Ruggaber will be in competition with four artists of international prestige and will compete for one of the prizes awarded at the festival, whose financial prizes are the most important awarded in floral art competitions (25,000 and 10,000 euros).

The fourth edition of Patio Talento received projects that, once again, “surpass in quality those of previous years, demonstrating the consolidation of the initiative and the interest from artists around the world for participating in the Cordoba festival,” the organization said. In this fourth edition, projects arrived from countries such as Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

This year also highlights participation in the call for Artists of Cordobawhich is a significant increase compared to 2023.

With the confirmation of Carolin Ruggaber, the list of artists of the official section of the seventh edition of Flora is closed, which will also include Eugenio Ampudia (Spain), Coyote Flowers (Canada), This Humid House (Singapore) and Emily Thompson (United States).

Carolin Ruggaber collaborated with famous brands — like Hermès, UTA or Chanel — and in international projects in the United States, France, Spain, Italy, Australia and the Middle East.
