The United States has $6 billion left, which will be used for military assistance to Ukraine until the new administration of Donald Trump, who won the presidential election, comes to power. This was stated on October 7 by the deputy press secretary of the United States Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, during a briefing.
“We have about $4 billion left in Pentagon reserves. President of the United States (joe biden) notified Congress that he would use them for the remainder of his term.” — said Singh.
He added that the United States also has $2 billion from the Agency for International Development (USAID), which is also included in the promised aid package.
Singh clarified that the administration will try to send funds to Ukraine as quickly as possible due to fears that Trump will stop arms supplies and financial support to kyiv.
Previously, on November 6, Politico newspaper reported that Joe Biden’s administration plans to send Ukraine the last $6 billion in weapons and various equipment before Donald Trump’s inauguration. This will be the first step of the “last help” for kyiv, Izvestia recalls.
