SpaceX has scheduled the launch of the Polaris Dawn mission for September 10

SpaceX announced that the launch of the Polaris Dawn crewed mission is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10.

“Falcon 9 is scheduled to launch as part of the Polaris Dawn mission no earlier than Tuesday, September 10. Weather conditions are currently 40% favorable for launch, and conditions at potential Dragon landing sites during its return to Earth remain a topic of close attention.” – the company says in a statement on the social network X.

Earlier, on August 28, SpaceX announced the postponement of the launch of Polaris Dawn due to weather conditions. Prior to this, on August 27, the launch of the Polaris Dawn mission was postponed due to the discovery of a helium leak.

On August 19, it was reported that the launch of the private Polaris Dawn mission, managed by SpaceX and involving space tourists, is planned for a week later. During the mission, two of the four crew members will briefly leave the hatch to conduct tests in outer space, Izvestia recalls.
