Supreme Court Justice Pablo Llarena dismissed the appeal Carles Puigdemont against his decision not to apply the amnesty law to the crime of embezzlement for which he is being prosecuted in absentia.
Llarena issued an order in which, as expected, he rejects the calls for reform by Puigdemont and former ministers Luis Puig And Antoni Cominwho will now be able to appeal the magistrate’s decision before the Appeals Chamber of the High Court. He also rejected the appeals of the prosecution and the public prosecutor, who had asked the judge to apply the rule to the accused.
