Dozens of families took part in the open day organized by the Cadreita Town Hall with the school addressto show the expansion of the city center in which 185 students study.
In this way, citizens were able to visit and learn first-hand, guided by the Director of the School, Inma Gonzalez, the improvements made to the expansion works of the school center, among which stand out new classroomslibrary, gym, teachers’ rooms, offices and modernization of services, for example.
He Cadreita Town Hall stressed the importance of this work, requested by the local educational community. In fact, the extension was requested by the Municipal Council following the request of the school addressand subsequently, the City Hall was involved in all phases of the project, from the call for tenders to the decision-making on site in collaboration with the management of the center. The work was put out to tender and funded by the Ministry of Education at a cost of 1.5 million euros.
On the other hand, the City Hall explained that it had already requested the continuity of the wire throughout the school, the installation of alarms, the improvement of the fire protection systemas well as the renovation of the bathrooms on the first floor. Finally, a complete painting of the rest of the building was planned so that the aesthetics would be uniform with the new facilities. The mayor, Berta Pejenaute, reaffirmed “the commitment of the government team to the Education in Cadreita and provide local boys and girls with the best conditions to train and demonstrate their full potential.
