He Official State Gazette has published the call for oppositions from the Madrid City Council, through which it aims to fill 35 positions of technical engineers of public works. Among the places offered, five are reserved for people with disabilities.

What conditions must I meet to become a technical engineer in public works at Madrid City Hall?

Candidates who wish to participate in this call must have Spanish nationality or that of a Member State of the European Union; be of legal age; be in possession of the necessary powers to carry out the tasks required by the position and be in possession of the university degree in Technical Public Works Engineer.

Entries can be submitted from November 11 to December 6, 2024.

Applications must be submitted via the Electronic office of the consistory. More specifically, interested people must access the “Application for admission to selective tests (oppositions) of Madrid City Hall” section.

What will the exams look like to become a public works engineer in Madrid?

The selection process will be governed by oppositionwhich will include three exercises.

In the first of these, candidates must answer a multiple choice quiz with 100 questions. Correct answers will be considered positive; Those left blank will not count and those that are incorrect will subtract one third of the value of the positives. The time required to complete the test will be 100 minutes.

The second test will consist of develop two topics in writing. The time to complete the test will be two hours. The Court will evaluate the exercise by granting 70% of the value to knowledge; 15% to clarity and order of ideas; 10% the quality of written expression and 5% the form of presentation and exhibition.

The third exercise will consist of solve two practical cases in writing. The time required to complete this section will be four hours. The final mark will be determined by the average of the marks awarded by the members of the Tribunal for the exercise.
