The Riga Open Taekwondo Championships were held in Latvia.
Oku.Az reports that the competition in the G-1 category was a success for the Azerbaijani national team. Our youth team finished the Riga Open with 13 medals.
Ilyas Hatamli (48 kg), Mahammad Hasanli (51 kg), Fuad Maharlamli (55 kg) and Eljan Aliyev (78 kg) won gold medals in our team’s category. Only Nargiz Kazimova (63 kg) and Yunis Huseynov (68 kg), who lost in the final, took second place in the competition.
Our other taekwondo players include Nilufar Borci (49 kg), Sehri Jalalova (55 kg), Fatima Hasanova (59 kg), Harun Salmanzadeh (51 kg), Ziya Hasanli (59 kg), Huseyn Khudiyev ( 73 kg). ) and Allahverdi Mammadov (+78 kg) won the bronze medal.
It is worth noting that the team will return to Baku on September 16.
