Some media outlets have reported that the chief physicians of seven districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the director of the Central Hospital have been dismissed.
Oku.Az The Ministry of Health reports that the published information states that the directors and chief physicians of the regional medical centres in Sharur, Babek, Ordubad, Julfa, Kangarli, Shahbuz and Saderak, as well as the director of the public legal entity “Nakhchivan Autonomous Republican Hospital” have been dismissed from their jobs.
We have sent a request to the Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Republic to clarify the information.

“We would like to announce that the Trade Union of Management of Medical Institutions (TMIB) is being established in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Trade Union of Management of Medical Institutions of the Autonomous Republic (TMIB) has dismissed the directors and chief physicians of the Sharur Regional Medical Center (Sharur, Kangarli and Sadarak), the Julfa Regional Medical Center (Julfa, Ordubad), as well as Babek and Shahbuz district central hospitals and the Nakhchivan central hospital) is the creation.
These hospitals will leave the Ministry of Health and become part of the TMIB. The handover works are currently underway and these works are about to be completed. Due to the documentation process, these directors and chief physicians will be dismissed from the Ministry of Health and reinstated in the Ministry of Health.
“That is, the doctors left the Ministry of Health to do the proper documentation work, and from now on, the Ministry of Health will be written in their work books, and not the Ministry of Health,” the statement emphasizes.
