Saudi Arabia will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel” – Crown Prince

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud has said his country has no plans to establish diplomatic relations with Israel until an independent Palestinian state is created with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

He said Saudi Arabia “firmly supports the Palestinian people and condemns Israel’s actions,” which he described as a “violation of international and humanitarian law.” The prince stressed that the kingdom will not enter into any agreement with Israel as long as the “occupation and disregard for the rights of Palestinian Arabs” continues.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that Blinken mentioned the conditions for the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel could be possible if a ceasefire agreement is reached in the Gaza Strip. In a briefing on hostage negotiations, Blinken noted that the parties are close to 90% done with negotiations, but there are still unresolved issues, particularly those related to the Philadelphia Axis.

Blinken stressed that major differences between Israel and Hamas continue to hinder a final agreement. In the near future, the United States plans to present its proposals to Israel, which will be discussed with the militants through the mediation of Egypt and Qatar.

The issue of normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel has been discussed more than once, but the main obstacle remains Israel’s lack of recognition of a future Palestinian state. Earlier this year, sources in the US and Israeli administrations said that such an agreement was unlikely to be reached before the US presidential elections in November.

The Biden administration has stressed that Saudi Arabia cannot move toward normalization while fighting in Gaza continues. The situation makes such a deal almost impossible for Riyadh to justify to the Arab world.
