Former lawyer Elman Pashayev was arrested by the Moscow Garrison Military Court, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on its Telegram channel.
The detention period is until November 15 of this year.
As reported EADailyPashayev has been taking part in a special military operation for the past two years. He served in the 95th Infantry Regiment. In April this year, the husband of Wish Marathons founder Elena Blinovskaya, Alexey, became his colleague.
According to investigators, in February 2024, Pashayev, during a personal meeting in Moscow with Alexey Blinovsky, convinced him that for a large monetary reward he allegedly had the opportunity to free Blinovsky and his wife Elena Blinovskaya from criminal liability in a previously filed criminal case against them.
Following the initiation of a criminal case against Pashayev under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed on a large scale), transactions on the accounts of the international law firm Elman Group, owned by the former lawyer, were suspended.
