Agropriego will celebrate September 20-22 its 43rd edition, focused once again on the professionalization of the sector and the fundamental objective of promoting oil culture among the population. The Exhibition of agricultural machinery, fertilizers, phytosanitary products and agri-food products will take place one more year on site Niceto Alcalá Zamora and Torres Fairof Priego of Cordobaand benefits from the support of Provincial Council of Cordoba.
The President of the Provincial Institute of Economic Development (Iprodeco), Felix Romero stressed that “fairs like this and FAGA come to reveal the identity and strength of the primary sector of our province, the strength and volume of farmers and ranchers who live in each of the municipalities.”
Olive oil
The deputy stressed that “we live in the province of the highest quality extra virgin olive oil in the world and this is certified by the numerous recognitions of the liquid gold of the Priego de Córdoba Designation of Origin.” Regarding the olive campaign that is about to begin, Romero indicated that “the forecasts are good, between 1.2 and 1.4 million tons.”
THE Provincial Council of Cordoba aims, once again, with its support for this fair, to “contribute to the local development of our communities and to promote the culture of olive oil through gastronomy and health”.
The territorial delegate of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía, Francisco Ramon Acostastressed that “Agropriego is a reference, not only in Subbética, but in the entire province; “It is a very consolidated fair in the sector, which marks an important moment, such as the beginning of the olive campaign, vital for the province of Córdoba.”
Three different areas
For his part, the accidental mayor of Priego de Córdoba, Antonio Navasexplained that “the fair will be held in a space of 14,000 square meters, which will again be divided into three distinct areas, one dedicated to the exhibition of agricultural machinery, fertilizers, phytosanitary products and small tools, which occupies most of the enclosure; and two other spaces, as an agri-food and multi-sector area.
The sectors represented at the show, with more than 100 exhibitors, are agricultural and livestock machinery, light machinery and tools for the agricultural sector, fertilizers, phytosanitary products, renewable energies, associations, cooperatives and other agricultural groups.
