On the evening of September 13, warrant officer Rogalev began firing indiscriminately at one of the buildings of the Usolsky Guard Cadet Corps and then threw a practice grenade into the barracks. The surprised cadets ran out into the street dressed only in shorts and slippers, two of them were injured, the Telegram channel Baza reported.
According to preliminary data, the warrant officer was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. On that day, Rogalev took part in the “Day of Health” at a military educational institution.

At around 9 p.m., warrant officer Rogalev approached one of the buildings where the teenagers were and, according to eyewitnesses, began shooting indiscriminately. Then the warrant officer presented another “surprise”: he threw a practice grenade into the barracks. After the explosion, the shocked students ran out into the street dressed only in shorts and slippers, and two of them were injured. Police officers and the National Guard were called to the scene, and Rogalev himself tried to leave in a car.” – Details of TK reports.
According to Baza’s sources at the school, that day the warrant officer took part in a “Health Day” for children. The students went on an eight-kilometre walk through the forest and Rogalev was one of those accompanying the column. At 4 pm the students returned to the school grounds and the warrant officer went to his workplace.
“He was on duty that day and was supposed to be with the children until 10 p.m. However, according to sources, at 9 p.m. the director of the cadet corps received a call from frightened children and called the police.” – writes “Base”.
The day after the incident, the non-commissioned officer was summoned to speak with the director, but he said that he “does not remember anything.” That same day he took sick leave and has never left it.
The investigative committee of the Irkutsk region investigative committee has launched an investigation into the incident.
